Tamrac Explorer 10 DSLR Blue Camera Bag Review

Tamrac Explorer 10 DSLR Blue Camera Bag is a very popular camera bag with plenty of great reviews and a very affordable price too. Now I know it's not the most lady like camera bag to carry on but humor me here and read on for an in-depth review:

• The first pro I must must mention is of course the cost. A pre-loved piece will cost you $15 and a brand new one around $25.
• It features something called the Tamrac Explorer 10 DSLR Blue Camera Bag's Dual Foam Technology which is meant specifically for your camera and belongings protection, so it is for shock protection and in most cases, a custom fit to equipment. The Dual Foam Technology combines closed-cell foam to provide maximum shock protection with open-cell foam for vibration dampening and a custom fit.
• It also has Tamrac's patented Memory & Battery Management System, which uses red flags to identify which memory cards and batteries are available. I find this intensely fascinating. Basically this tells you which is used up or not.
• This Tamrac Explorer has what is called a Total Coverage Top with a quick-release buckle and zipper closures and these features are especially handy in providing weather protection. This is one of my favorite features. Check it out here.
• I am particular about the shoulder strap of women's camera bags. We are so used to carrying handbags that we're ecstatic when we find one that is non-slip. Yep! This Tamrac Explorer has an adjustable  "BioCurve" which is a non-slip shoulder strap as well as an EasyGrip carrying handle. These features combined provide convenient carrying options for us avid photographers.
• Perfect for Canon's Digital Rebel XT or Nikon's D50 so if you're an owner of these Canon or Nikon cameras, you are in luck, big time!
• Now if you've been following my posts, you'll know how I love quick access. This camera bag has a Speed Pocket on the front flap which basically means that it secures and provides quick access to small accessories. You'll notice in the product's picture I've pasted on here what it can fit and how it looks.
• The Tamrac Explorer 10 DSLR Blue Camera Bag has a lid that is a smooth nylon pocket for holding lens cleaning paper. That is one unique feature I don't think we see very often.
• This bag has a Strap Accessory System (SAS) for personalizing and customizing what they carry around.

 

• I agree that it can be a bit small depending on your camera so if you have a small lens, a compact digital or film SLR, this camera bag is perfect.
